The Brazilian coach of RWDM Molenbeek, Claudio Caçapa, was sacked on Sunday evening after a heavy defeat in the Belgian championship, announced the club owned by the American John Textor, also boss of Olympique Lyonnais. Beaten 4-0 at home by Royal Antwerp, RWDM, which has not won since December 16, is in a relegation position, 14th out of 16, with 22 points in 25 matches.
Caçapa, a former OL central defender, was assistant coach at Lyon then head coach of Botafogo, in Brazil, another of the clubs belonging to the Textor galaxy. His replacement has not yet been appointed. His deputy and compatriot Igor De Camargo will take over in the interim.
