Former AS Saint-Etienne striker André Fefeu died at the age of 84, the club announced on Saturday, adding that the player was buried on Thursday. Fefeu was triple champion of France with the Greens (1967, 1968, 1969) and won the Coupe de France in 1968, thus winning the first double in the history of ASSE. He also twice won the Champions Trophy (1967, 1968).

André Fefeu, who began his career at Stade Français (1960-1966, 175 matches, 50 goals), played at Saint-Etienne from 1966 to 1969 (99 matches, 27 goals) before being transferred to Ajaccio (1969- 1970), before ending his career at AJ Auxerre then in CFA, third national level (1970-1973).
