The story was so beautiful that it couldn't last. Promoted following a superb season in Pro B, Saint-Quentin is this year's nice surprise in Betclic Elite. Currently 8th, the club will however have to do without its starting leader, Tyger Campbell.
Hit in the shoulder, the American was forced to end his season. With 9 and 5 assists on average, Julien Mahé and his staff will have to find a solution in order to replace this offensive contribution. The young Lucas Boucaud (23 years old) as well as Yiftach Ziv (28 years old) will take over the position of leader while the club finds a medical freelancer as reinforcement.
To hope to secure a place in the play-off, the Saint-Quentin players will have to stock up on victories. First against Gravelinnes on Saturday (6:30 p.m.) before hosting Blois (03/18, 6:30 p.m.) then moving to Cholet (03/23). At the end of the season, they will face big teams like Monaco, Asvel and Nanterre.
