Australian Open: Djokovic misses fifteen break points, a first in his career

Currently facing the American Taylor Fritz in the quarter-final of the Australian Open, Novak Djokovic, after winning the first, conceded the second set. Not helped, it seems, by his lack of success in decisive moments.

The Serb, who is aiming for an eleventh coronation in Melbourne, failed to seize his opponent's serve in the first two sets. However, it is not for lack of opportunities. Djokovic had fifteen break points!

Extremely rare, he failed to convert a single one. The first time in his career that he didn't convert any of his first fifteen. But the 36-year-old rectified things in the third set, as he broke twice in the third set and leads two sets to one.

Another statistic could reassure his supporters: he only lost twice at the Australian Open after losing the first set: in 2009 against Roddick, and in 2014 against Wawrink.
