The African record holder for the 100 meters (9 sec 77 in 2021) Ferdinand Omanyala won the final of the meeting to set the fourth best time of the winter over 60 meters. By crossing the line in 6 sec 52 hundredths, he improved his previous record by two hundredths and achieved the minimums for the indoor world championships in Glasgow at the beginning of March.
The evening was also marked by the victory over 60 meters hurdles by Wilhem Belocian (7 sec 51), who confirms his good form and responds to the French hurdler Just Kwaou-Mathey, author of the same time on Sunday in Val-de-Reuil.
Among the other French athletes competing, Agathe Guillemot, who broke the French record for the mile (around 1609 meters) indoors on Tuesday evening in Ostrava (Czech Republic), won the 1500 m in 4 min 8 sec 57 while the Pole vaulter Robin Emig won the competition by clearing 5m75, without going far from the Olympic minimums set at 5m82.
