The world champion in the 400 meters hurdles Femke Bol won the 400 meters at the indoor meeting in Liévin (France) on Saturday evening with a new great time.
The Dutchwoman, who had the best comeback of her career last week in Metz (49 sec 69) improved her best world mark of the winter in Liévin by crossing the line in 49 sec 63.
However, she did not manage to beat her own world record in the 400 meters indoors (49 sec 26 in 2023). “I wanted to improve things compared to last week and from there, we will continue to build,” reacted Femke Bol in the mixed zone. The 23-year-old athlete continues next week with the Dutch championships before lining up in early March in Glasgow for the indoor world championships, the only international championship (excluding the Olympics) that she has never won.
