RATP strike: the CGT calls for mobilization on April 4

The 100 euros increase promised by RATP management does not satisfy the CGT. The management's majority union calls on all agents to strike next Thursday, April 4, in a press release published this Thursday, March 21. He calls for better salary increases and demands that the management of the authority hold “real” NAOs – the obligatory annual negotiations – for 2024 as quickly as possible with a “return to the negotiating table”. This call for a walkout is covered by the strike notice filed by the CGT at the end of January, which runs from February 5 to September 9, and includes the period of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The CGT is the only union not to have signed the agreement on salaries at the end of February, which proposed an increase of 100 euros gross per month for all agents. The union deplores that this increase will be implemented “only from January 2025”, estimating that “this money, RATP agents need it now”.

The increase proposed by RATP as part of the mandatory annual negotiations (NAO) for 2024 represents an average increase of 4.2% for all employees in the historical scope of RATP in Île-de-France, i.e. 1,300 euros over a year of salary, according to the public group. This measure, equivalent to 15 index points, comes in two stages with a first increase on June 1st followed by another on December 1st.
