Judith Godrèche's book, written in 1995, will be republished online by Flammarion

A digital version of Judith Godrèche's book in project. According to information from the newspaper Ouest-France, Flammarion is preparing to publish, “in the coming days”, a digital version of the book Point de side, written by Judith Godrèche in 1995. A reprint of the book is also being considered.

“This book resembles me,” confided the actress on the set of TF1, when she was promoting her very first novel, in 1995. And for good reason, Point de side tells the story of Juliette, a young girl from A twenty-year-old who separates from a man much older than her. A story which corresponds exactly to that of its author since at the time, Judith Godrèche, 22 years old, had just left the director Benoît Jacquot, 48 years old.

Nearly 30 years later, in February 2023, the actress spoke again about this book, this time on France Inter. “It was a first attempt to tell my story,” she said. An attempt that failed.”

On February 7, 2024, after years of silence, Judith Godrèche filed a complaint against director Benoît Jacquot for rape of a 15-year-old minor. The facts date back to the 1980s, when the filmmaker directed the young woman on the set and maintained a romantic relationship with her.
