Economist María Fernández, new strategic advisor of DAZN Spain

DAZN is reinforced. The global sports streaming platform has announced the appointment of María Fernández Pérez as strategic advisor for the company in Spain.

An economist specialized in economic regulation and evaluation of public policies, market supervision and defense of competition, Fernández Pérez will provide DAZN with strategic and regulatory consulting services on matters related to the audiovisual sector.

María Fernández has been vice president of the National Markets and Competition Commission (CNMC) and president of its Regulatory Supervision Chamber between 2013 and 2020. Previously, she was Director of the Technical Secretariat of the Delegate Commission for Economic Affairs of the Office Economic of the President of the Government, Deputy Director General of Competition and Economic Regulation in the Ministry of Economy and Finance and head of service in the Subdirectorate General of Studies of the Competition Defense Court. In addition, Fernández belongs to the Superior Corps of Civil Administrators of the State since 2006 and to the Corps of Commercial Graduates of the State since 2003.

DAZN launched its service in Spain in 2019 and in just five years it has established itself as a powerful option with top-level rights such as LaLiga, Formula 1, MotoGP, Premier League, League F or NFL.
