No Adele in March. On her social networks, the 35-year-old singer has just announced the postponement of ten concert dates, initially planned for the next five weekends, in Las Vegas. The decision came from his doctor who ordered him to “take some time off and interrupt his residency” to get some complete rest. The shows will be postponed but the dates have not yet been communicated.
“I was sick at the end of the last stage and throughout my break,” continues the singer. “I didn’t have the chance to get back to full health before the shows started again and now I’m sick again, and unfortunately it’s had an impact on my voice.” Sad news for fans but a wise decision for Adele who has been performing concerts since the launch of Weekends With Adele, a show which is held, as its name suggests, on weekends, at the Colosseum at the Caesars hotel. This is not the first time that Adele has been forced to postpone her concert dates. If the kickoff of his residency in Las Vegas was given in November 2022, it was to begin in January of the same year. The day before the first concert, the British singer had to announce, in tears, the postponement of her residency, because of the cases of Covid which were increasing in her entourage. “Being with you in such an intimate space every week is what I’ve been looking forward to the most and I’m going to give you my best,” Adele promised at the time.
And she didn't lie. His residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace was an immediate success. While Weekends With Adele was due to end in November, the singer finally decided to extend her tour one last time by adding around thirty new dates, running from January to June 2024. To everyone's surprise, Adele also announced “ a series of shows for the summer", this time in Europe. For her four European dates, she chose Munich, Germany. “It’s a bit random, but still fabulous,” she said on Instagram. I couldn’t imagine a more wonderful way to spend my summer and end this beautiful phase of my life than by performing concerts so close to home.”
