The evening at La Défense Arena is planned to last more than three hours and will pay homage to cult films, from Snow White to Aladdin, including Cinderella, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan, Encanto or the Snow Queen...
Heroes from the Marvel, Star Wars and Pirates of the Caribbean universes will also be performed. Special effects and laser shows will be projected on a giant screen to accompany the show.
To celebrate the centennial, Disney produced an animated short film titled Once Upon a Time, in which 543 characters from 85 feature and short films will appear. In the cast, fans will find Vaiana, Flounder, Peter Pan, Mickey and even Tinker Bell. The film was written and directed by Dan Abraham and Trent Correy and produced by Yvett Merino and Bradford Simonsen. It is imagined as a “love letter” to the studio, its artists and its fans and brings together heroes, villains, princes, princesses, wizards and witches. Once Upon a Time Studio will be available from October 16 on the Disney, Disney Junior and Disney Channel platforms.
