“Everyone was screaming”: a German dies in mid-flight, spitting “liters of blood”

A flight that turns into a nightmare. This Thursday, February 8, a German sixty-year-old died in mysterious conditions to say the least in the middle of a flight between Bangkok and Munich, in a Lufthansa Airbus A380, reported the Swiss media Blick.

According to two passengers who were seated in the back row, the 63-year-old man was already in pain before the plane took off. They mention in particular “cold sweats” and very rapid “breathing”. Worried, one of the two passengers then decided to warn the captain, who, after trying to speak with the sixty-year-old, asked over the loudspeaker if there was a “doctor” on board. A thirty-year-old Polish man got up and, after consulting the patient, decided that he was fit to travel.

“They then gave him some chamomile tea, but he was already spitting blood into the bag his wife handed him,” the witness still recounts. And once the plane took off, the man's condition continued to deteriorate... Until a jet of blood came out of his mouth and nose. “It was absolute horror, everyone was screaming,” says the witness who explains with horror that the walls of the plane were sprayed with blood.

The flight attendants immediately began resuscitation, to no avail. “It was absolutely silent on board,” remembers the passenger who witnessed the scene. After pronouncing the 63-year-old man dead, officers took the body to the kitchen as the plane turned back to Thailand.
