Åhlin-Kottulinsky run ahead of STCC

Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky became the first woman STCC-winner but diskades along with two other PWR-driver after the race at Gelleråsen in the last year. Protest concerning what was considered to be incorrectly modified exhaust system had been submitted. It led to a hot discussion in the STCC on the exhaust system and its effect.

But Åhlin-Kottulinsky was the last winner in all cases, when the automobile federation disciplinary committee have released the drivers and the appeal appears withdrawn.

" I am very pleased with the continued confidence from both the PWR and the team's partners. Last season was one of the best, if not the best, in my career. Both personally and in terms of the results. I found back to my joy of racing, thanks to the PWR and the atmosphere within the team. I'm really looking forward to a new season in the STCC, " says Åhlin-Kottulinsky in a press release.

– It's both fun and motivating to be a part of the Swedish national team. Especially considering how many talents that exist within the Swedish racing at the moment. Then I really hope to be able to inspire more girls to start with motor sport, but perhaps above all to continue the fight with the guys higher up in age. In the near future I would love to see that I have the company of many fast girls both on the track and in the national team, " says Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky.
