The wave involved, although the outcomes were less severe, also New Zealand, Australia, Russia, Guam, Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Nauru, Hawaii, Island northern Mariana, Taiwan.

There is now a nice documentary that recalls the catastrophe, the massacre, and tells the story of those who research even today the dispersed of the Tsunami, aggregated into a compact organization. “Koi” is the title of the documentary, produced by Lorenzo Cleaves for a young and vibrant production house, the Jumping Flea and distributed by Journeyman Pictures. The documentary has already participated in 4 festivals in the United States. Won the Mosaic World Film Festival 2019. The soundtrack was composed by Angelo Badalamenti, the historical composer of David Lynch.
