JheneAiko and Mickey Guyton kicked-off Super Bowl 20022 with strong performances.
Aiko, a six time Grammy nominee, stunned the crowd with her performance of "America the Beautiful" at the SoFi Stadium Inglewood, California, on Sunday. This stadium is home to the Los Angeles Rams who will take on the Cincinnati Bengals in the Vince Lombardi trophy.
The national anthem was performed by Mickey Guyton, a country music star.
Guyton was the first Black woman to receive a Grammy nomination for a country song and the first Black woman to host the ACM Awards. Guyton is a four-time Grammy nominee and is best known for her hit song, "Black Like Me".
One viewer wrote, "Wow," noting that Aiko Guyton had "killed" it.
Another said, "From Jhene to Micky [sic] Guyton...that was beautiful."
Halftime will feature Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg as well as Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Mary J. Blige. The musicians collectively have 44 Grammy Awards, with Eminem winning the most at 15.
