Resexperterna has said its – the Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi is the world's best theme.
During the ”resebranschens Oscars", World Travel Awards, this hotel won the first prize for its unique and popular concept.

200 kilometres north of the arctic Circle lies the world's best theme hotel, the ice hotel in Jukkasjärvi, sweden, or the Icehotel, Jukkasjärvi, sweden as it is really called. With its beautiful isstruktur and its unique concept, it attracts visitors from all over the world.

At the World Travel Awards in Lisbon in the beginning of december, a hundred prizes were awarded in various categories. Icehotel, Jukkasjärvi, sweden won the first prize for the best temahotellet in the world. It was also appointed Sweden's leading boutique hotel for the fourth year in a row. The Grand Hôtel in Stockholm was named Sweden's best hotel for the third year in a row.

It is not the first time that the ice hotel is to be praised. It has received several awards over the years at the World Travel Awards. And in the summer published the Time Magazine list of the 100 best places in the world, ”Time Magazine's 2018 World's Greatest Places” and the ice hotel in Jukkasjärvi, sweden was on the list.

The first hotel was built in 1989 and has since been reborn in a new guise every winter. Previously, you could only visit the ice hotel in the winter, but since 2016 is a permanent building, Icehotell 365, with hotels, isgalleri, ice bar and suites with a private bathroom and relax.
