Teach from home, the portal Google to help teachers to teach in remote
Google yesterday opened Teaches from home, a portal dedicated to teachers who are trying to continue to do the lesson at a distance. The emergency Coronavirus (COVID-19), as is well known, has resulted in the closure of schools and universities but the teaching activity is continuing. The Institute for Information Technologies in Education of Unesco and other partners in the field of education are collaborating with the u.s. giant to make available information and recommendations that could be useful on every front. The new portal (in Italian) suggests, in fact, all of the strategies to implement video lessons and also the alternatives in case we can not proceed in this direction; for example, creating quizzes, commenting on students ' assignments or to build a web site for the class. We also talk about accessibility, such as the inclusion of subtitles to the video and the use of voice typing. Without counting, finally, the promotion of participation and how to collaborate with other teachers.
