Amazon renews its smart speakers for Black Friday and Christmas

Amazon has decided to make a wave of launches changing practically all its devices with interesting improvements. The company specializing in ecommerce has also been selling its speakers for years, a business in which it does not seem to waver and which, with a view to the year-end campaign, is being renewed.

According to the company, these are launches that reinforce its vision focused on ambient intelligence: technology that is personalized, intuitive and proactive enough to be there when it is needed and go unnoticed, in the background, when it is not.

Amazon has introduced the new generation of Echo Dot and Echo Dot with clock. "With improved sound quality and a compact form factor, each of these new devices gives customers more ways to make Alexa a part of their day. And powered by Echo Dot and Echo Dot with Clock and the new sensors, users can have Alexa do even more for them," said Eric Saarnio, vice president of Amazon Devices International.

Specifically, the new Echo Dot and Echo Dot boast a redesigned audio architecture with a custom full-range driver and higher-excursion speaker than any Echo Dot, delivering clearer vocals and up to twice the bass of the previous generation. all in its same spherical and compact shape.

Echo Dot and Echo Dot with Clock feature new sensors that let you, for example, set a routine for Alexa to automatically turn off the air conditioner when a certain indoor temperature is reached. This new generation also features one-touch controls, allowing you to pause and resume music, dismiss timers, or end a call by touching the top of the device.

The new Echo Dot with Clock features an improved 5x21 high-density dot technology LED indicator that offers a more dynamic way to take in information at a glance. Now, in addition to the time, you can also see the title of a song or the name of an artist, the time, a calculation or a unit of measurement.

For its part, Amazon has also improved its most powerful speaker, Studio, thanks to new spatial audio processing technology and extended frequency range.

As for prices, Echo Dot is available in a new color: navy blue, as well as in the original anthracite and white for 59.99 euros and Echo Dot with Clock is available in bluish gray and white for 69.99 euros.

Echo Studio also adds a new white color, in addition to the classic anthracite and is available for 199.99 euros.

The company also expands its Fire family with the new generation of Fire TV Cube, the streaming media player, and the Alexa Pro Voice Remote, a remote control with the new remote search function and customizable buttons.

The new Fire TV Cube boasts a new 2.0 GHz Octa-Core processor that makes it 20% more powerful than the previous generation. With this new processor, apps open faster. The Fire TV Cube is fully voice controlled through Alexa and supports 4K Ultra HD cinema formats, Dolby Vision, HDR, and immersive sound with Dolby Atmos audio support. In addition, it includes an HDMI input port.

Alexa Pro is a new premium remote designed to help customers spend more time streaming content and less time fumbling for the remote on the couch. The Remote Finder feature helps customers find lost remotes more easily.

While the new Fire TV Cube is available for 159.99, the Alexa Pro voice remote is available for 39.99 euros. The Cube will go on sale at the end of October while the controller will arrive on November 16.

Finally, the company has also launched the new Kindle Scribe, the new generation of Kindle that unites reading and writing. Kindle Scribe features the world's first 10.2" 300 dpi Paperwhite display, and comes with an included stylus that doesn't need to be charged. The display emulates the feel and flow of reading and writing on paper, with crisp text and ample space to display larger fonts, images, graphics, and documents. Kindle Scribe is available for pre-order starting today from $369.99, and will begin shipping later this year.
