To tender the improvements works at the Borja, Cepero, and Galeno squares

At the request of the Municipal Services Area, the Almeria City Council approved the tender to widen sidewalks and improve pedestrian safety in the Borja, Cepero, and Galeno squares, and other streets in the Almedina neighborhood.

According to the Zofre company, the works have a base budget of 651,680.43 euro and a three-month execution time. This is part of the Plan for the Improvement of Public Spaces in the Historic Center'. It was promoted by the City Council with the goal of making these areas safer, friendlier, and more accessible.

This execution project covers Almedina and Molino Cepero as well as Espejo and Cepero.

The project that was prepared for this action has been approved. It proposes a significant improvement in urbanization, especially at the level of pavement. This area will be more accessible and easier for pedestrian traffic. The environmental treatment will include small fountains, trees, and planters that will give it a unique character.

The ultimate goal is to restore corners and create spaces for recreation, rest and recreation in the neighborhood.

These urban interventions, along with the other projects in this plan, such as the Cantares, Masnou, and Orbaneja squares, which are currently being awarded, will all be co-financed fifty percent by the City Council. This is after the City Council joined the incentive program for efficient and sustainable mobility (Moves II) within the framework the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience plan, which was financed by NextGenerationEU and European Union funds.
