The infrastructure of Churriana de la Vega's educational centers is being improved by the City Council of Churriana de la Vega

With new investments from the Junta de Andalucia and the City Council, the educational centers in Churriana de La Vega are continuing to improve their facilities. Recent weeks have seen the completion of work on the Arco Iris Children's Education Center. This is a significant action in the line for incentives for sustainable construction.

The total investment was 93,356 euro, with 10% coming from the Churriana City Council. Windows were replaced, a photovoltaic system was developed, and awnings were placed in the school's backyard. The City Council also installed additional covers. This investment includes the air conditioning renovation. It will be completed in the near-term. These improvements have been made possible by the Junta de Andalucia as well as European funds.

This project joins the activities that were carried out during the summer months. These included painting and changing windows in schools. The investment was 15,000 Euros. There have also been maintenance tasks costing 5,000 Euros.

This year, work will continue in other educational centers. Antonio Narvaez, the mayor of the town, stated that the school San Roque, which is the oldest and most needy, will be renovated. He requested a grant of up to 200,000 euros from the Idea Agenda. He concluded his speech by saying that education is what we are committed to. This means providing the best facilities, infrastructure, and conditions for our students.

Plan for social integration

All educational centers in the municipality now have a concierge since September 2018. This is thanks to the Municipal Social Integration Plan for People with Different Abilities (City Council)

This plan was unanimously approved by the Local Government Board in July 2018. According to the City Council document, this strategy "makes equal opportunities the backbone of our common life project",

This process of social inclusion is beneficial to people with a disability that is greater than or equal to 33%. Temporary labor contracts have allowed the new workers to be integrated into the jobs at the City Council's municipal facilities. They are responsible for the custody or key control, the distribution of documents, and the control of entry of persons outside the service.

The mayor of Churriana noted that the actions taken in this area improve the education offer in the municipality. The City Council wants to make every effort to improve services for children, families, and students at educational centers.
