Putin doesn't want to negotiate – German lumpenpacifists must now understand that too

Neither the West nor Ukraine were enthusiastic about the Chinese peace plan, which was presented on Friday to mark the anniversary of the Russian attack. After all, this provided for peace negotiations without any preconditions - and without explicitly demanding a Russian withdrawal from Ukrainian state territory.

China's plan aimed to freeze the conflict under the current front lines, which would allow Moscow to rebuild its depleted military and then make a fresh attempt at conquering Ukraine in a few years.

In fact, the Chinese ideas were not far removed from those of the pro-Russian, alleged peace friends who, led by Alice Schwarzer, Oskar Lafontaine, Sahra Wagenknecht and Erich Vad, protested against arms deliveries to Ukraine at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin on Saturday. In a downright naïve way, they call for diplomacy to finally be used again, but they always fail to provide any details as to what such a diplomatic solution could look like in concrete terms.

Now Russia has once again made it clear what to think of such ideas: nothing. Even the pro-Russian Chinese peace plan was rejected by the Kremlin on Monday. "At the moment we don't see any conditions for this whole story to end peacefully," said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. "The special operation continues and we are moving towards the achievement of the goals set."

This cancellation does not come as a surprise, at least if you are not as ideologically bent as those who actually demonstrated for Moscow's interests on Saturday. Nothing in recent months has indicated that Russia is ready for a negotiated settlement on acceptable terms. Everything indicates that Putin is stubbornly clinging to colonial land grabs. The Chinese have now understood that too.

Now only German lumpenpacifists like Schwarzer have to do it

Moscow wants the guns to continue to speak. Putin's imperialist delusion can only be ended with arms deliveries to Kiev and a Ukrainian victory - and not with appeasement policies on the part of German friends of Russia.
