Once traded highly at FC Bayern, at 26 in the 4th division

He was considered one of the most promising talents in German football. He switched to FC Bayern for a lot of money. Now he plays in the fourth Turkish league.

In 2014, the then 18-year-old played so impressively in the Borussia Mönchengladbach youth team that Bayern signed him for three million euros. Mönchengladbach was angry.

However, under star coach Pep Guardiola, Kurt was never really able to hold his own with the German record champions and only played one game for the Munich team in just under a year and a half.

At Bayern, they were upset about Kurt's extravagances, sometimes involving an expensive helicopter flight and hairdressers flown in. Finally, the striker moved to Hertha BSC.

Kurt didn't find his way in the capital either. "If you have to keep motivating a young player and keep crying about mentality, then we have a problem," said coach Pal Dardai in the summer of 2017. In January 2018, Kurt was even banned from team training.

In 2019, WSG Tirol signed him from Austria, after which he also played for fourth division club Straelen and in Slovakia for FC Nitra.

Kurt has been looking for a club since summer 2021 - now he has finally found a new employer. In the future, the former youth international will go hunting for goals for the Turkish club Karaman FK. Kurt signed a contract with the fourth division club until 2025.

"The club has good equipment and good weather," said Kurt. "I feel good. I will work harder here and find my way back to my old strength and performance.”

Karaman plans to advance to the Süper Lig, Turkey's top division. Honorary President of the club is Mehmet Ali Han, who also holds the same post at Berliner AK, which despite the 2:4 on Friday evening against Chemnitzer FC is still the leader of the Regionalliga Nordost.

Karaman says about the club: “We are currently leaders in the 3rd league (fourth highest Turkish league, ed.) and would like to join the first Turkish league in the long term with German virtues and Turkish passion. To this end, we bring our experience from Germany to bear and are currently trying to establish our home club in Turkish professional football in the long term. This also includes transfers of German-Turkish talents like Sinan Kurt.”
