A photography exhibition will be held in the sacristy at the church of San Lorenzo. It is a space that was saved for culture by Huerta de San Antonio Foundation. Marcelino Sanchez Ruiz from Ubet shows public for the first-time his interest for image, light and textures. These are recent works that he has gathered under the title "Entranas", to show what we have within. This selection includes snapshots that are related to what is inside the author. Some were made during confinement. Enduring feelings of anger, disgust, shame, pain, acidity and love. Images communicate entrails or other strange emotions in a different way.
Marcelino has been photographing for over 40 years. He always tries to show the "other side" of what he photographs. The pandemic was what prompted Marcelino to share the works that made up this exhibit. He believes that anyone who approaches them with an orthodox photographic approach will be disappointed because they don't claim anything to contribute. These photos are instead testimonials to him. He says that these photos are not just looks, moments and emotions captured with the photographic process. They also have the potential to be shared with others in the hope that they can be felt and perceived by them.
This sample has a charitable component. It is this that the exhibition's benefits will be donated to Ars Remedia Humanitas. This civil initiative promotes help for people in need through the development of creativity and art.
