Shooting at the Zaidin. Agents from the National Police arrested a 36 year-old Spanish national with a Granada police record for allegedly causing damage to a music venue valued at approximately 1,000 euros by several shots with a firearm.
A group of young people were celebrating a private party at a house in the Zaidin neighbourhood when, around five in afternoon, a man, who no one knew, appeared with the intent of joining the celebration.
They insisted that he was not allowed to be part of the group, claiming it was private acts between friends. They did not see him, so he pulled out a gun and detonated what they thought were firecrackers.
A few of his friends tried to force him to leave, but he refused.
The partygoers discovered that the music stage was repeatedly hit by gunshots. They realized that the sounds of what they believed to be pyrotechnic material were actually detonations from a weapon and filed a complaint with the National Police.
Agents from the Provincial Judicial Police Brigade started investigations to identify the individual. He was arrested after the investigation was complete. He was allegedly responsible for the destruction of the sound amplifier, which is worth approximately 1,000 euros, as well as for illegally possessing the weapon with the shot.
A 36-year-old male detainee with a police record has been taken into custody. Meanwhile, agents continue to investigate the location of the gun used to fire the shots.
