A skate park will soon be available for young people in Armilla. The construction of the infrastructure, which is currently in the bidding process, will soon begin. This installation will provide a skate park for the youth of the armillera and fulfills one of their demands. Loli Canavate (the mayor of the city) presented the plans to the Casa de la Juventud with Paqui Fernandez, the Councilor for Youth.
The mayor said that the new infrastructure "joins the multifunctional warehouse that already has a climbing wall, a large multipurpose room, and street training track." Mayor explains that the track is highly sought after by young people. The multifunctional warehouse houses many activities and will have the means and facilities to teach classes in different types of dance. A climbing wall will also be used as a training area as well as the nucleus for the Municipal Climbing School>>.
It is located next to Casa de la Juventud and is the first rink in Armilla to offer this sport. This rink is designed to provide skaters with enough space. This area is a great place for youth to enjoy the sport as well as a nice leisure area.
Funded by EDUSI
The track features ramps and a large pyramid at the center that provide the perfect conditions for skateboarding. It was designed to allow different types of skateboarding to be done on one board. Anyone can use the facilities to practice board sports. Construction of the track will take place within the framework of EDUSI Armilla Future Metropolitan Innovation'.
You can use it in different ways, like the "Bowl" area to perform pirouettes. It will have two platforms at the top and transitions through jump ramps. These are similar to urban furniture found in parks and squares. Sources from the Consistory explain that these facilities will increase cultural and associative activity because the young people in the town have a place where they can meet, train, participate in activities, and exchange experiences.
