'send a lot of crap. I do not want my children to learn these things. Drugs, alcohol, ill-treatment, hostage, suicidal thoughts - and now as kirsebærret on the cake mixes of the breeds.... I'm not a racist. But white and white and black and black...it is the worst tv series in 10 years'.

A third wrote:

'Pathetic. I choose to drop the channel'.

however, There were just as many tv viewers, who greeted the black-and-white-kiss welcome.

A tv-viewer wrote the following:

'I love it. I have just sat here and waited on the pair. I plead '7de Laan' to continue this relationship. I love them together. Yeah!!!!'

A second tv viewer who is also positive, opposite, kissed, wrote:

'7de Laan shows us south africans, how we ought to live, and that color does not mean anything...become adult'.

the TV station behind the television series '7de Laan', which has been shown in south Africa since the year 2000, was also out on twitter to condemn the network-hatred, as well as explain why after 18 years is now showing a kiss between a white woman and a black man:

'Although we respect our tv viewers' right to express their opinion, will '7de Laan' not tolerate net-hatred, racism or incitement to commit such stories from either the public or the media'.

And in the two following twitter lookup wrote '7de Laan', among other things, the following:

'We stand by the diversity of our history, telling the stories from the real south Africa. It is our responsibility to show that art reflects life...and to show that love is independent of age, sex and race. '
