Many television viewers in south Africa were just about to get the coffee wrong in the neck, as in Sunday as an episode of the popular television series '7de Laan'.
Here they were namely presented for the first black-white kisses in the tv-series ' 18 year history.
the Kiss was settled between the actress Carina Nel and actor Nicholas Nikuna that in the tv-series player respectively as Alexa and Fikani, in the tv-series ' universe over the last few months have had a starting love relationship.
The heat of the kiss between the black man and the white woman was given an extremely mixed reception and was followed by a passionate debate that put the emotions to the boil.

the Actress Carina Nel got according to media reports, hate mail and angry comments because of the kiss. A tv-viewer wrote, among other things, the following:
'I used to keep by you in '7de Laan'. But I am glad that you are my wife after the title. Actor or not. I would never kiss you again. You pull the white women's name through the mud'.
another tv-viewer wrote:
'send a lot of crap. I do not want my children to learn these things. Drugs, alcohol, ill-treatment, hostage, suicidal thoughts - and now as kirsebærret on the cake mixes of the breeds.... I'm not a racist. But white and white and black and black...it is the worst tv series in 10 years'.
A third wrote:
'Pathetic. I choose to drop the channel'.
however, There were just as many tv viewers, who greeted the black-and-white-kiss welcome.
A tv-viewer wrote the following:
'I love it. I have just sat here and waited on the pair. I plead '7de Laan' to continue this relationship. I love them together. Yeah!!!!'
A second tv viewer who is also positive, opposite, kissed, wrote:
'7de Laan shows us south africans, how we ought to live, and that color does not mean anything...become adult'.

the TV station behind the television series '7de Laan', which has been shown in south Africa since the year 2000, was also out on twitter to condemn the network-hatred, as well as explain why after 18 years is now showing a kiss between a white woman and a black man:
'Although we respect our tv viewers' right to express their opinion, will '7de Laan' not tolerate net-hatred, racism or incitement to commit such stories from either the public or the media'.

As much as we respect our viewers’ right to voice their opinion, 7de Laan will not tolerate hate speech, racism or instigation of such narratives by any member of the public or media.
And in the two following twitter lookup wrote '7de Laan', among other things, the following:
'We stand by the diversity of our history, telling the stories from the real south Africa. It is our responsibility to show that art reflects life...and to show that love is independent of age, sex and race. '
