Back in 2016, crashed a plane from the PIA on its way from the pakistani city of Chitral to the capital, Islamabad. 48 passengers were on board and none survived.
Last year, a flight from PIA damaged as it skidded off the runway at Gilgit airport in the northern part of the country. No one died in the accident.
