Lars Larsen's company is making record profits

The past year yielded a record high surplus of Lars Larsen Group, which is behind Jysk.

Profits ended up at 3.6 billion crowns in the financial year 2017/2018, which is 200 million higher than the year before.

It informs the company, which also owns companies such as Sengespecialisten, Bolia, Ilva and IDEmøbler.

- Overall, I am very happy with the result, " says Lars Larsen, in a comment to the financial statements.

- Precisely as in the past years is the Jysk Group, which generates by far the largest part of the profits, which has made it possible to continue to invest heavily in a number of other companies, there is a part of Lars Larsen Group, he says.

the Turnover of the group of companies was total of eur 31.6 billion crowns to 30 billion the year before.

Lars Larsen opened the first Jysk in 1979 in Aarhus under the name Jysk Sengetøjslager, and since then it has grown to a worldwide group of companies with 2700 stores around the world.

- I know that there are some who think that I'm too patient with some of my investments. But my experience is that it usually is the right thing to hold onto rather than give up, as soon as it gets hard.

- It is the Jutland and Lars Larsen Group is created, and a profit before tax of 3.6 billion in the latest fiscal year is for me a proof that my way of doing business is not completely crazy, " says Lars Larsen.
