When you go down through the Fires, is the cobbled, small pedestrian street filled with small shops and cafes. But soon comes the Branded retail to explode. The city should have a new city owned by the Bestseller.

on Monday night, it was finally decided in the city council, that the Bestseller has permission to build their 645.000 square meters large city, which will accommodate approximately 60 shops, homes, hotel and conference centre, offices, cafes, restaurants, educational institutions, playgrounds, bike paths, a gas station and a 320-metre-high building.

You would think that it got the city's existing business to shake in the pants, but on the contrary. Everyone loves apparently the best seller.

I certainly believe that it gives more people and more visitors in our café. I'm not worried about the division of the city, for I am sure that they will make sure a good connection between the existing city and the new. I am sure that Bestseller only want the best for the city. The people who look negatively on it, is the most people who do not live in the Fires.

I just say 'thumbs up'. It is to keep our little city on the map. In fact, I think that most of the Fires are proud to have someone like Anders who would like to the city and would like to invest in the city.

I don't think it has any impact on my business. I have a stable and good customer base. In turn, I think truly, that it is wonderful with some fresh thinking.

I see more jobs and positive things for the city. It is really lovely with a man like Anders. I might be a little concerned about the division of the city. There are also some of my patients who have asked if I now move to the new part. There I have the answer, that I do not. I hope that in the future there will also be life in the old Fires of the Centre.

I only look at it with positive eyes. We have been here for 16 years and have many regular customers. Of course there will be some of my customers out and see what the new is for something. However, I believe that it's going to be a completely different type of shops, which will be located in the new city. In the worst case, I have to turn the key, but then I can as Fires-citizen rejoice over a large selection of shops and everything else, it will give to the city.

EDC predicts more growth

In the real estate business the EDC in the Fires are also only positive about the upcoming project. And even if there comes a 320-metre-high building, which will undoubtedly loom in the landscape, it is not something that will affect the housing market, do you believe - on the contrary.

- We believe that it is going to create increased growth. Increased growth in the city automatically provides increased growth in the housing market. The 320 meter high building get since certainly important for individual cases, but when you weigh the positive against the negative in the whole project, it is still a very good thing for the Fires, says Camilla Lund Hansen, daily leader in EDC Fires.

- When we talk with people here in the city, it is also the only positive thing we have heard. I think many actually are thankful that we have a Bestseller, and Anders, who want to invest and build here in the Fires. He could just as well have chosen a different geographical place, the ends Camilla Lund Hansen.

When the city shall be built, remains to be seen, and the estimated price keeps Bestseller also for themselves.
