Karl Börjesson has an advent calendar out of the ordinary. He takes a vinterdopp each day until christmas in order to contribute to a less alone in Stockholm for homeless children.

– I draws me never to do crazy things, " says Karl.

”Donald vinterbadar for Stockholms stadsmission” is the initiative which should make the Stockholm, less alone, which Stockholm Directly previously written about.

He started the initiative on the first of december and the idea is that Karl, who is called Donald, to take a dip somewhere in Stockholm every day until christmas.

– The worst moment is right before you jump in but it is just to take the bull by the horns, " says Donald to Aftonbladet

He shoots every dip and every donated penny he sends a personal thank you from their bath.

– I have been at Brunswick twice, Danvikstull, lilla Essingen, Flatenbadet, Hornsbergstrand and Liljeholmen, stockholm, sweden, " he says.

He had long been thinking about to take a winter dip, but something vinterdopp never was. But he does not to adopt a challenge and took the bull by the horns.

– But there had not been a challenge if I only made a single vinterdopp, so I thought I can make it as a calendar, " he says to Aftonbladet.

A friend of Donald suggested that he should collect the money to an organization.

According to the Stockholm urban mapping lacks 718 children of a permanent accommodation and Donald wants his collection to go to their work for a more humane city and a little better christmas for the children.

His initiative has engaged. Within eight days, he has collected around 18 000 Swedish kronor.

Donald thinks everyone can do their bit for a better world – he does it by jumping into the freezing water.

– It gives me an incredible pulse that I can challenge myself – while I can draw attention to a question. Everyone can do something, even if it is to give money or attention to a subject.

Now his ”advent calendar” booked right up to christmas with people hanging on his initiative and want to go and swim.

– I have to pinch myself in the arm to make the commitment to it has become. It is so incredibly nice.
