Brits give passports without a ‘European Union’ on it
Although it is still completely unclear is whether, how, and possibly when, Britain, the European Union is actually going to leave, the British government already had passports out of which the universal EU-indication "European Union" has been removed. That writes the newspaper The Guardian .

Yet Britain is still an EU member. But the British government deleted the words "European Union" above the words "United Kingdom" already, in the assumption that the much talked about brexit on 29 march would take place.

The removal of the EU entry creates anger in people who these days is a passport to obtain and in the assumption that they just even the old EU-version in hands. the

“I'm really shocked”, tweeted Susan Hindle Barone, one of the first British a passport a new style, in receipt names. She placed a picture of her old and new travel documents, and wrote: “Find the differences.”

The British ministry of Interior said in a statement that the deletion of the EU text is part of a restyling of the passport in two phases. Ultimately, that lead to the issue of the classical, old blue British passport, presumably at the end of 2019.
