Bjarne Brøndbo had to flee from the storm: It's completely insane

DDE-vocalist Bjarne Brøndbo and his wife, Lise Greftegreff is on holiday on Koh Samui. The couple has lived in a villa they rented on the beach, but as the need to escape to a hotel up in the hill in the morning.

Brøndbo and the wife feel safe at the hotel now they are in, but tells about a terrible storm that rages outside.

The employees at the plant feared that the loose parts from boats or other objects would fly towards the fronts of the buildings. They evacuated us, but they said "you never know". They have not so much experience with this type of storms outside of the season here. The waves are absolutely huge on the otherwise fantastic beaches, says Brøndbo to the Newspaper.

Tsunami still fresh in memory

- We look out over the city and huge waves whips toward the beach. It is totally grey and it is raining so that it sounds like there are lots of fish that will watch in the pool outside of here. It is completely insane. And with a trønder think this is bad. Had we been in the villa down on the beach now, we had been really nervous, " says Brøndbo.

Brøndbo and the wife noticed that the contact person at the hotel was concerned about the reported weather.

- We have the tsunami still fresh in memory, and know that it can be dramatic with respect to the sea level. Then the wind began to pick up in the morning and the rain came down in torrents, we went to the booking.com to check the possibility to get us on a different hotel. It was full everywhere and only two rooms free. There were probably many who thought the same as us. We booked with a time, " says Brøndbo.

Two bags of potato chips

at the time Of writing is at 17.03 in Thailand. A couple of hours, it is expected that the wind speed is going to increase.

- It should increase from 19-20 time in the evening. We feel we are safe here we are now. We have two bags of potato chips and a bag of pistachios. There is no possibilities to getting to any store now. Everything is closed and barrikadert with sandbags. It is extreme amounts of water in the streets, " says Brøndbo.

Brøndbo tells us that they still have power at the hotel they find themselves in, but tells that there is a risk of power outages.
