Sps Geir Pollestad criticize the Tine and Nortura in order to create a glansbilde of Norwegian food production in the creatives. He believes it corrupts the debate about good animal welfare.
this measure from Pollestad came, according to Nationen under the landbrukspolitiske stormøtet in Varhaug in the Rogaland last week, where the theme for the debate was animal welfare. Pollestad thinks the commercials that creates a glansbilde of the Norwegian food production is just as distant from reality as dyrevernsorganisasjonenes skrekkbilder. He also believes the Fsa contributes to the false and misleading representations of Norwegian food production, because the audit only share pictures when they find the poor animal welfare standards under their supervision, not photos from the supervision in which animal wellbeing has been good.
I think that reality on a regular farm is good enough that most people would believe that animal wellbeing is good enough, says Pollestad.
– My call to Gilde and Tine is that they need to stop with the commercials that show the animals that speak and sing and farmers who carry around pigs. It creates the wrong impression and then think consumers also not on it. What we need to do is show what real life on the farm, says Pollestad.
He encourages opplysningskontoret for the meat to show how steak is produced, rather than how to bake.
