Alm on Djurgården midfielders: They like to give a lot of punishment

It was a målsnål match last year, but the question is if history repeats itself.

In the last four matches have the Hedge made 15 goals.

" We are continuing to create many scoring opportunities. We have met teams pretty consistently played a lower defense game but we have still managed to score a goal. It is not always so easy to do it early in the spring, " says Alm.

Alm sat in the stands when Djurgården beat out the Hammarby after a penalty shoot out in the quarter-finals on Sunday.

– Djurgården got to play their game more than what Hammarby got to do, thus they were better.

he had Kevin Walker in the squad from 2009-2011, but any starting player, he wasn't.

– Kevin has broken through all the scenes, he has done a fine trip.

Alm sounds impressed when he talks about the Club's central midfield.

" Walker, Jesper Karlström and Fredrik Ulvestad is tight, they like to rush and give a lot of punishment.

I played with Lagerlöf, AIK and Bergstrand in Sweden and know both fairly well.

– Djurgården has received Mr Ajdarevic and Buya Turay and is looking at further acquisitions. Already in the autumn they took in a part of the offensive player, says Alm.

There are old links between Alm and the Club tränarduo Thomas Lagerlöf and Kim Bergstrand.

" I played with Lagerlöf, AIK and Bergstrand in Sweden and know both fairly well.

Brasse seemed to miss the match against Djurgården but in the week suspended the disciplinary board decision and Paulinho, Häckens leading scorer, looks set to start against Djurgården on Saturday.

"I had prepared myself to play without Paulinho," says Alm. He has started the last matches and starting to get in kind.

BK Häcken won the Swedish cup in 2016, and has for several years been in the league förhandssnacket. The 2012 season was so far successful as the club finished second, made the most goals, 67, and Waris Majeed won the scorer with 23 goals.

" We have several players who made goals in the allsvenskan in the past, says Alm.

– Now we meet them we had the most problems with in the last year, it's interesting. We beat none of the teams that was above us in the table in the last year, in addition we lost against Djurgården at home both in allsvenskan and in the quarter-finals of the cup.

Alm has played for Hammarby, AIK, IFK Norrköping, and the Norwegian Kongsvinger, norway. As a coach, he has experience from Eskilstuna City, the team and the Danish Vejle BK before he was a year ago, took over BK Häcken from Gothenburg in Gothenburg, sweden.

" I am quite rootless. I'm not from Stockholm or Eskilstuna, I am from anywhere, it works fine.

In the second semi-final of the Swedish cup takes AIK against Eskilstuna on Sunday.
