A stone's throw from the round Tower is the historic buildings on Købmagergade 44-46 and 50, that has previously housed the Copenhagen University and The Royal porcelain factory.

A number of buildings, which in may 2018, were sold to u.s. investors for 845 million dollars.

Since then, it has been unknown what was going to happen with buildings, but now the real estate company Hines has just published their plans.

A big hotel with 243 rooms, conference rooms, wellness, bar and a cafe is on the way.

It informs the company in a press release.

in Addition to the large hotel they have plans to have retail on the ground floor of 3000 square meters, and there must be six luxury apartments on the site.


the Hotel will be operated by the hotel chain 25hours Hotels which also has hotels in Paris, Berlin, Florence, Munich, Cologne, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Vienna, Zurich and one on the road in Dubai.

- It is a very exciting project for Copenhagen, and it will give new life to the historic buildings to the delight of many people.

Købmagergade 44-46 is 10.564 square meters, while Købmagergade 50 is 10.067 square feet.

Hines Interests Limited Partnership has 3775 employees and the owner of the 529 different properties in 207 different cities in the whole world.
