With the famous monte-carlo Rally starts the agonistic activity of the Abarth 124 rally. The fourth season of the car, the opening round of the world Championship, Wrc, starts right where in 2017, the 124 rally made its debut.
This year, at the start of the first race of the world championship, the belgian Luc Caprasse and Renaud Herman with a car run by the belgian team Motorsport International, Caprasse, which has already been shown to have a good feeling with the 124 rally having achieved successes of category on the occasion of the Rally of Saxony and of the Rally Stadt.
As always, the monte-carlo Rally, the pilots will have to contend, in addition to their opponents, with the uncertainty of changeable weather, able to influence heavily the performance of the race for the sudden snowfall and the presence of sections icy.
An unforeseeable situation that makes it difficult to choose the right tyres, but on the other, enhances the skills of general balance, road-holding and traction of the Abarth 124 rally, enhanced in these extreme conditions, as happened in previous editions.
In 2017, his debut in the rally on the roads mostly snow-capped monte-carlo, Fabio Andolfi, a young Italian rider who had dominated the category, ahead of the French Francois Delecour always on the Abarth 124 rally.
The following year, the Italian Andrea Nucita, thanks to the qualities of the 124 rally, it is inserted between the tractions integral drivers participating in the Wrc with an excellent fourth fastest time on the ninth special stage, Agnières-en-Dévoluy – Corps, the most snowy of the race.
And then again, in the last edition, the Italian Enrico Brazzoli got the victory between the R-GT, thus beginning her streak of successes that he has brought then to the conquest of the Cup, Fia R-GT.
Also this year, the monte-carlo Rally is the first round of the Cup, Fia R-GT is based on five competitions and after that we will move to the Rally Ain Jura, France (march 8-9), Ypres Rally in Belgium (June 25-27), Rally of Rome the Capital city (24-26 July), Rally Deutschland, valid for the World championship (15-18 October).

The monte-carlo Rally, today, provides a route along more than a thousand miles with 16 special stages for a total of 304,28 km speed training run and ends at 13,48 Sunday 26th January. (m.r.)
