I pazzi siete voi, in Pisa, an evening on the voice of the madness in the song of the author

PISA. After the appointment on the justice and prison last December in cooperation with the Criminal Chamber of Pisa, the exhibition "Spirits, loners - Songwriters heard, seen and remembered", back on 20 January, with a new event theme: stavola is the protagonist of the madness, real or perceived, and understood in all its possible meanings, interpreted by the words and voice of the greatest artists of Italian music.

The appointment created by Fabrizio Bartelloni and Marco Masoni is part of the initiatives linked to the exhibition "art awakens the soul" exhibition at the Museum of Graphics of Palazzo Lanfranchi, with works by people with autism spectrum disorders. As for all the other events connected to the exhibition, also in this case the proceeds will be donated entirely to charity to support a project promoted and funded by the IRCCS Stella Maris Foundation for the creation and management of new programs, the museum accessible to people with autism spectrum disorders.

The adventure of the Spirits of the lonely, started about a year ago, arrived today on the ground of disclosure for the social: is it possible to combine leisure and commitment?

MASONI: our meetings are born from the desire to tell the story, through the songs and the original artists ' videos, which treat of the histories of art that touch the heart and the brain, with a dose of irony and fun: do info-tainment very in-depth and light-weight set, so yes, fun and commitment are perfectly coniugabili. We would like the people to our meetings, you give emotions, reflect, and then maybe in these cases to act, with concrete gestures of solidarity. It is not the first time that we lend ourselves, and I have to say, very willingly, for an evening of charity, always in favour of the weaker or more unfortunate. The topic that we have asked for this time, that is, the relation between madness and art song, is really inspiring and full of great examples, we had to leave out a lot of songs and artists...

What are the criteria according to which you choose the singers for the night of the 20th?

BARTELLONI: Rummaging in the archives of our memory, and also of our consciousness, to quote Renato Zero, we have tried to make us come to mind the most number of author's songs devoted to the theme of madness. Then in concert we have chosen the ones that, in our judgment, not only of the more significant artistically, but also more capable of telling the different variations and shades that the term " madness can assume, taking care also of the space between authors of very different and distant, also chronologically, between them.
