Paramount available in Germany from December 8th

Paramount Plus will be available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on December 8th, 2022. In addition to highlights such as the Star Trek series "Strange New Worlds", the cinema success "Top Gun: Maverick" and the US hit series "Halo" and "Yellowstone", Paramount's global streaming service also promises a number of new premium original series that are currently being created for the German-speaking market.

The range of content that will be available in German-speaking countries includes international highlights such as "Scream" and "Star Trek" through to strong local originals.

These new and exclusive German-language productions include the series “Der Scheich”, which will be available from December 22, 2022. The series highlight is about the story of an unprecedented imposture that ultimately brings the political and economic system of Switzerland to the brink of a national crisis. The supply of new exclusive productions will not decrease in the coming year either. The series "Chemistry of Death", based on the bestseller by Simon Beckett, and the cyber crime series "A Thin Line" are planned for 2023.

In total, Paramount offers nearly 9,000 hours of content outside the US. Thanks to the broad station portfolio, not only fans of successful US series such as "Dexter" and "Good Wife" get their money's worth, but also a younger audience with well-known Nickelodeon formats such as "Spongebob", "Paw Patrol" or "iCarly" offered a lot.

At launch, Paramount will be available at a monthly price of $7.99 after a 7-day free trial. Alternatively, there will also be an annual subscription for EUR 79.90, as is already known from other providers such as Disney. Crisp 4K resolution will not be available at launch, with maximum resolution capped at 1080p. However, the streaming service will be available over the full bandwidth. This includes apps for IOS and Android on the one hand, but also applications for AppleTV, FireTV, GoogleTV and Samsung.
