Teacher acquitted of rape but convicted of sexual intercourse

The high Court has on Thursday acquitted a 32-year-old former teacher for raping a then 13-year-old student multiple times.

Bjørn Christiansen, however, has been found to have had sexual intercourse - both vaginally and anally with a minor.

He was sentenced to two years in prison and his right to a future, to work with children and young people under the age of 18 years.

in Addition to the sexual relationship is known he is guilty of several cases of indecent exposure, attempted possession of child pornography and vidnetrusler.

the high court's judgment is significantly milder than the decision of the Court in Næstved, came forward to last year.

Here, he was sentenced to six years in prison for the rape of the then 13-year-old student.

In court, went to the prosecutor after three to four years in prison and denied the man the right to teach children, writes TV2 East.

When the case was heard by the Court in Næstved, told a psychologist that the girl was traumatized and exhibited signs of ptsd after the incidents.

But the teacher insisted that the girl herself had reached out to him, and that they had a mutual sexual relationship.

After having been deployed to Afghanistan in 2008 as a soldier, he got ptsd. This disorder meant that he lost his judgment and was thus indirectly the fault of the relationship with the minor girl, the teacher has even explained.

the Man was charged with several blufærdighedskrænkelser and rapes committed in 2017 and 2018.

one Of the charges, it appeared that the teacher had taken the girl out in a forest, where he gave her the handcuffs and collar on and raped her.

But while the district court on the basis of the girl's explanations came forward that she had been the victim of rape, is the court of appeal therefore of a different opinion.

- It is a judgment, I'm somewhat surprised. The votes have distributed very unevenly, so it has been a uenigt jury. But it is the majority who have spoken, and the judgment we must take note of, she says to TV2 East.
