It hurt deep into many feriehjerter, as the Svinkløv seaside Hotel burned down tll the reason a septembernat in 2016, but now the many visitors and admirers again prepare to smile broadly and enjoy the popular seaside resort rises in a new, revamped version from the ruins of the old.

- Now it starts to look like something, and we are of course very happy after a few years on the sidelines, says Steen Royberg, president of the foundation behind the Svinkløv Badehotel, to Ekstra Bladet.

Although the inside part of the hotel is still lacking quite a bit, so you can from the outside already see that the new version is going to look similar to its predecessor. Among other things this is because it as the old one to be rebuilt in wood and with the same number of rooms and the same charm as before.

Thus, there is overall only a few changes compared to the old one, but one of several improvements is that each room gets bad. At the same time has brandingeniører made sure that safety will be in the top, so the fire from the nearly two and a half years ago will not be repeated.

After the fire 26. september 2016, worked the board and tenant-couple Kenneth and Louise Toft-Hansen with an expected re-opening of the Svinkløv Badehotel between easter and pentecost 2018.

It proved, however, rather quickly not to be possible to comply with this schedule.

- We decided that the hotel pdb and open in season 2019, because we have a desire to restore a seaside hotel, where you do not compromise on the planning and implementation of reconstruction under the pressure of time, said chairman of the board Steen Royberg in a press release from the 9. January of this year.

fawlty towers in its original form was built in 1925 by the Danish-american Carl Brix Kronborg. In 1934, it was beachfront, which we knew until the fire in 2016, with 36 rooms. Fawlty towers will once again be Denmark's largest wooden building when it is completed in may.

The updated version, which is expected to open the doors in mid-may, contains more windows and a more open look to the sea on one side and the dunes on the other, but many artisanal details will go again for guests who remember the old hotel. For the employees the change even more apparent. The new badehotel get a brand new kitchen facilities and a large cellar under the house.

the Fire at fawlty towers was ignited because of a elektricitetsfejl in a tumble dryer. 70 guests were at the hotel that night, and they were all evacuated without any injury.

It was in the planning stage is important for the people behind fawlty towers, the restored building maintains the original atmosphere.

- We have gone to great lengths to describe the Svinkløv badehotel's dna. There will be just as bad internet and thus mobile connection, as there always has been. And there will hopefully be the genuine, old world charm, when we open again, says Steen Royberg.

Daily, many way past fawlty towers to see how it progresses with the work, and there are even bus tours with the curious who want to follow in the reconstruction.

There are not yet opened for booking of rooms at the new Svinkløv Badehotel.
