Saudi, Mohammed bin Salman stop his uncle and cousins: Attempting the coup

There is a new intrigue of the palace to the royal court of saudi arabia. And the protagonist, once again, is the man who for five years dominates the life of this Country as well, not being the king, Mohammed Bin Salman (MbS). The crown prince, 33 years old, on the night of Thursday, would arrest the three senior members of the royal family, probably in an attempt to pave further the way to the throne of the 85nne and sick father, king Salman.

The arrested were prince Ahmed, the only remaining between the brothers of the king, direct descendant of the founder of the kingdom, Abdulaziz al Saud, and the point of reference of that part of the family and saudi society that does not share the vision autororitaria and modernizing of MbS. Ahmed was a threat because until the rise of Salman and of the son, MbS the throne of saudi arabia was the past of brother in brother, and he would have therefore been entitled to the succession if the brother had not decided to focus on his son. Long-who went to voluntary exile in London, two years ago he had expressed opinions that were played and criticisms of MbS in a video circulated on the network: but then it was back home and seemed to have ironed out disagreements with the leadership.
