In 2019 killed 49 journalists
In the course of the 2019 all over the world, 49 journalists were killed because of their work. In its annual report, the international Federation of journalists (Ifj) points out that for how dramatic, the figure represents a significant reduction compared to 2018, when it claimed the lives of 95 reporters, and is the lowest since the year 2000, when the dead were 37.

The Federation remarked, moreover, that the fewest number of victims must not make us forget that "violence against journalists is still very extended."

The Countries in which we have been the victims are 18. The most dangerous for the press is in Mexico, where they were killed ten journalists, all involved in investigations on corruption or the drug trade. Follow Afghanistan and Syria with five deaths each, Pakistan (4) and Somalia (3). Yemen, the Philippines, Brazil, Haiti, and Honduras register each of them two journalists killed.
