Armel Le Cléac'h and Sébastien Josse won the Transat Jacques Vabre in the Ultim category this Sunday by crossing the finish line at 6:19 p.m. and 50 seconds local time (i.e. 23 hours, 19 minutes and 50 seconds in mainland France) . At the helm of the giant Banque Populaire trimaran, they took 14 days, 10 hours, 14 minutes and 50 seconds to connect Le Havre to Fort-de-France with an average speed of 26.75 knots (and a journey of 9,263 miles) . SVR Lazartigue (François Gabart and Tom Laperche) are expected overnight to take second place.
