Winger Alivereti Raka and center Léon Darricarrère have extended their contract with ASM Clermont, the Clermont Top 14 rugby club announced on Thursday.
Raka (29 years old, 5 caps for the French team) has signed until 2026 with an option until 2027 while he is playing his ninth season at Clermont where he arrived in 2015. He has scored 75 tries.
Darricarrère (19 years old) is now under contract until 2027. International U20, he has been in the professional group since he was 18 years old.
“The best recruitment starts by keeping our best players and it was unthinkable to imagine Alevereti anywhere other than with us. He is one of the players who represent the club. Léon deserves what happens to him. He works hard and well. He is a young person full of desire, a thirst to learn and to win. He totally fits into the mentality that we put in place at the club,” commented manager Christophe Urios on the Auvergne club website.
