Winner of the US Open, his 24th Grand Slam title, Novak Djokovic was celebrated in Belgrade in the company of the Serbian basketball team, vice-world champion (beaten by Germany 83-77 in the final) . A reception and an ovation which deeply moved him.

Belgrade also honored its prodigy son by lighting up the Kula Tower with the image of the world number 1.

Novak Djokovic must quickly move on to the Davis Cup in Valencia.
