Rolex Paris Masters: Djokovic's big anger after Rune's late challenge

Novak Djokovic will play well in the semi-finals of the Paris tournament after his victory over Holger Rune (7-5; 6-7; 6-4) but Friday evening, the Serb lost his temper over a point which could have given him two balls match in the second set while leading 5-4.

Rune requested video refereeing very late after playing the ball with intent. The Scandinavian actually seems to take a good look at where his ball lands (outside in this case) before calling on the referee.

Djokovic immediately went to see the latter, furious, to challenge the decision. The exchange between the two men was heated but the point was validated. Djokovic also reversed this decision at the end of the meeting and his opinion had not changed. “I thought he had played his move and once he saw that he had played he (Rune) asked for a challenge and then the chair empire told me he was allowed to do it, which I found ridiculous. It's the referee's decision, now it's easier to talk about it when the match is over. I think the referee made a mistake to be honest.”
