Philadelphia Sixers winger Kelly Oubre Jr. was hospitalized Saturday night after being hit by a car while walking, his NBA franchise announced, but his condition is not cause for concern, according to medias.
His club did not provide further information, but The Phildalephia Inquirer newspaper said the 27-year-old's life was "not in danger." According to the same source, he was walking near his home when he was hit by a motor vehicle.
However, he should miss many matches, added this local daily.
Oubre, who has been through multiple franchises since his NBA debut in 2015, joined Philadelphia in September from the Charlotte Hornets. He has averaged 16.3 points since the season opened.
