The French striker, Moussa Dembélé, officially leaves Olympique Lyonnais where his contract expires on June 30. The club announced the news on its social networks on Wednesday, without announcing its future destination.

The 26-year-old player, from Pontoise and trained at Paris SG then Fulham (England) where he started as a professional, arrived at the end of August 2018 just before the transfer window closed from Celtic Glasgow for a transfer of 22 millions of euros.

Moussa Dembélé's first two seasons were excellent with twenty goals the first year in 46 matches in all competitions, then 24 goals the following year in 46 matches as well.

The 2020-2021 season was completely missed (16 matches, 1 goal with OL) with a paying loan (1.5 million) at the start of January 2021 at Atletico Madrid where he did not win at all despite a Spanish league title (7 matches partially played, 140 minutes, 0 goals).

Returning to OL for the 2021-2022 season, he scored 22 goals in 36 games before being relegated to the bench with the return to the club of Alexandre Lacazette.

His total record at Olympique Lyonnais is 70 goals, 19 assists for 172 matches played.
