Lille was very close to putting an end to the invincibility of the Rennais in Ligue 1 and achieving a magnificent coup this Saturday, on the occasion of the 5th day of Ligue 1. In the very last moments of the match, the Rennais succeeded to snatch a draw (2-2).
Losc made the difference thanks to its defenders Leny Yoro (33rd) and Bafode Diakité (62nd) and had the match well in hand. Stade Rennais managed to come back to the score thanks to Lorenz Assignon (74th) who was also decisive in Ibrahim Salah's equalizer in the 90th (2-2).
Rennes were on the verge of winning the match in the very last minutes. From a corner in the 96th minute of play, Ludovic Blas volleyed the ball with a magnificent bicycle kick, unfortunately his shot was off target.
A bitter-tasting draw for Lille who had made the break in this match. Rennais can thank their goalkeeper Steve Mandanda, who was once again exceptional.
