Landing Page Conversion Secrets

If you've ever wanted to increase the conversions of your landing pages, then this is going to be an article that you surely don't want to miss.

After all, landing pages can make or break you when it comes to your overall online business success.

If you get your landing page wrong, then you can expect a few things to happen.

  • Visitors land on your page only to immediately back out and leave.
  • Your money quickly begins to run out as the clicks pile up and the conversions lack.

And worst of all, the stress begins to pile up as you begin to wonder if things will ever work out.

Allow me to put it this way, you must get your landing pages to convert.

When your landing page starts to convert, you'll be in a completely different spot.

  • You'll be able to actually profit from your efforts.
  • You'll be able to continuously run your paid advertising campaigns.

You will also be able to reach your targeted audience and help them with what they need.

It's a complete 180 in terms of results, or lack of results, and this is all thanks to the ability to be able to convert with your landing pages.

So with all of that being said, let's look at three out-of-the-box ways to increase your conversions.

1) Level Up Your Landing Page Speed

I included this tip first because it's not something that you read about every day.

After all, how important is the speed of your landing page going to be when it comes to having higher conversions?

Here is what I have figured out so far.

  • If your landing page is slow, you will lose out on a lot of visitors.
  • If your landing page is normal speed, you might lose out on a few visitors.

If your landing page is lightning fast, then you're in the best spot to not lose many visitors.

After all, who even has time to hit the back button when it only takes one second to load your landing page?

Keep in mind that not all landing page and sales funnel builders are the same when it comes to page speed.

For example, Converti is a great example of a company that puts a heavy focus on its page speed. In fact, they claim themselves as being the world's fastest funnel builder.

Another example is Instapage which comes along with their Thor Render Engine, a feature dedicated to providing the fastest landing page load speeds in the industry. The good news is that it's a core feature of Instapage, included with the Business and Enterprise plans.

So regardless of what landing page builder that you end up using, make sure that it's not running at a turtle's speed. Otherwise, you're going to be fighting an uphill battle from the start.

2) Remove The Unnecessary Elements

Here's an important question that you need to ask yourself before you create any landing page.

What is the main goal of this landing page?

Usually, the question will come down to this.

  • Generate leads.

Make sales.

Whatever the answer is, you want to make sure that maximize your chances for being able to accomplish your goal.

Let's use the goal of making sales for example. If you want to make more sales, then you are most likely going to need some type of sales letter on your landing page.

You also want to remove anything that would distract your visitors from making sales. For example, you won't want to link to anywhere else expect your Add To Cart button. There's no need to send traffic to a related article, this goes against your goal.

You also don't want to have an affiliate badge at the bottom right of your landing page, this goes against making sales of the product that you have.

It's little things like this that can really add up when it comes to making more sales. After all, if you increase your conversions from 1% to 2%, then you have literally just doubled your business. Not too shabby for a little bit of work, right?

3) Split-Testing Made Simple

If you want to increase your conversions, then split-testing your landing pages isn't going to be optional. The good news is that most of the premium landing page builders come along with split-testing features. Anyways, here is my most important when it comes to split-testing.

Only split-test one major section at a time.

The reason for this is simple. If you split-test multiple variables at once, then you simply aren't going to know what provided the better (or worse) results. So when it comes to your landing page, one of the most powerful sections that you can split-test is NOT going to be the following.

  • Background color.
  • Where your image goes.

Call to action on your button.

While there is a time and place for split-testing those sections, the most important thing to split-test will be your headline. Your headline is always at the top of your landing page, and that pretty much decides whether or not your visitors will leave, or stick around and continue to read.

Once you've got a benefit-enriched headline that converts, then you can move onto the smaller details.

So those are the three out-of-the-box ways when it comes to increasing conversions on your landing pages. The most important thing is that you put these tips into use and get your landing page seen.

After all, you can't expect to make any conversions if your landing pages aren't seeing any traffic.
